(III) Determination of Visitor Capacity for the Ailao Mountain Scenic Area in Xinping County
1. Daily Capacity of the Scenic Area
The primary means of exploring the scenic area is through walking trails, so we’ve adopted the "Trail-Based Method" for our calculations. Detailed metrics used in the calculation process are listed in Table 1. The scenic area operates daily from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., totaling 9 hours—or 540 minutes.

C Road ——Daily environmental capacity, measured in visitor entries;
L – Total length of the trail, measured in meters (m);
l——The reasonable length of the walking path occupied by each visitor, measured in meters (m);
D – Turnover rate, where D = Total open time of the course throughout the day / Time required to complete one full round of the course.
Calculation shows:
·The daily environmental capacity of the Shimengxia area is 893 visitors per day;
·The daily environmental capacity of the Tea Horse Road area is 734 visitors per day;
·The daily environmental capacity of the Jinshan Primitive Forest Area is 1,008 visitor trips per day;
·The daily environmental capacity of the Huashan area is 1,050 visitors per day;
·The scenic area's daily environmental capacity is 3,685 visitors per day.
2. Instantaneous Capacity of the Scenic Area
The scenic area's instantaneous capacity serves as its "safety valve." When any zone reaches 80% of its instantaneous capacity, the景区 should promptly issue warning messages to visitors via various channels—such as景区 broadcasts and LED electronic displays—to provide ample time for preparing and implementing subsequent measures like visitor flow control and diversion.

Y I — The tourist unit area (length) at the i-th attraction, based on the capacity indicators in Table 1.
Calculation shows:
·The instantaneous capacity of the Shimengxia area is 174 visitors per day;
·The Tea Horse Road area has an instantaneous capacity of 122 visitors per day;
·The instantaneous capacity of the Jinshan Primitive Forest area is 112 visitors per day;
·The instantaneous capacity of the Huashan area is 350 visitors per day;
·The scenic area's instantaneous capacity is 758 visitors per day.
